A better option TREAT

I was excited to get a goodie bag from Pure Wellness.

I don't often use much protein powder at all. Most protein I consume in my diet is plant based or from organic meat/fish and eggs.

I stay away from most Protein powders as they contain to many extra 'ingredients'. Often loaded with artificial sweetners and toxins. These chemicals long term will result in poor health. Known to mess up hormones, adrenals and cause weight gain due to a 'sluggish' metabolism.

Most store bought protein bars contain the same ingredients that I do not approve of. As i know most people live a busy lifestyle it can be time consuming making meals and some times we need snacks for 'on the go'.

Great snacks on the go include, fruit, nuts, flax crackers, raw veggies, boiled egg, tuna or a Natural Protein Shake.

I made these truffles with The Pure Wellness Pea Protein. Pea protein is great for vegans or those who can't have dairy. I found this protein easy to digest and the truffles taste great. It is also soy free, rich in amino acids, zinc, iron and antioxidants.

Pea Protein Truffle

A vegan Protein Treat

Ingredients

4 scoops Pure Wellness Pea protein

1 teaspoon raw cacao

8 tablespoons coconut oil (melted)

Directions

Mix together then pour into liners and set in fridge.

Serves 4

Tips

Add goji berries or maca for a super food truffle.

If you want a sweet treat add some agave or coconut palm sugar.

Pure wellness have a great range of products. I love the energy tea, goji powder and pure spirulina best.
