Natural Naughties Pea Protein Balls
As everyone is aware I love to whip up creations in The Natural Naughties Kitchen. The secret to making pea protein taste yummy is to add other ingredients to it.

I had a look in The Natural Naughties pantry and got out some of my most loved ingredients.
  • Pecans - Any type of nut can be used in the recipe. I like to use different ones from time to time as they have different health benefits, textures, and tastes. It is important to include some quality fats in your diet to assist with healthy hormones, energy and skin. Keeping some fat in your diet will actually assist to fight off sugar cravings too!
  • Coconut Oil - Coconut oil is a magic food when it comes to creating protein bars or balls as it works well to combine the ingredients together. Coconut oil is also well known to boost your immune system as well as metabolism.
  • Stevia - I found this hazelnut stevia at the organic store and it tastes amazing. Stevia is a low gi sweetener with pretty much no calories. Reducing sugar can assist to better balance blood sugar levels in the body. 
  • Raw Cacao - This is to make the balls taste like chocolate! ;) Raw cacao is also a super food with many health benefits. I like to highlight the fact that is is a great source of magnesium, which assists with muscle recovery. It's the perfect nutrient to be included in a protein ball.

3 scoops pea protein
3/4 cup pecans
3 tablespoons coconut oil
3 tablespoons raw cacao
few drops stevia
Process all ingredients together in a food processor or high speed blender.
Mixture should come together.
If the mixture is too dry, add in some more coconut oil. If it is too wet, add in some more pea protein. 
Form into balls.
Leave in fridge for 30 minutes before eating.
For a sweeter ball, add in some agave or raw honey.
You can toss these in coconut flakes after rolling.
Other super foods can be added. Goji berries, lucuma or maca powder are great.
