Raw food, health, love....my passion

Today was a busy day for me, I presented a raw food demo at the Organic Market in Hendly. The weather was a worry in the morning, lucky it cleared up later and was a great day. I loved the drive down to the beach. Next time i plan to walk down the beach too. So beautiful and a great place to reflect.

As I arrived early to the market I had time to look at the other stalls. I purchased some great quality fruit and veggies. These fruit and veggies tasted amazing full of flavour and vitamins and minerals. I love organic fresh produce as it is so beneficial to health. They are not sprayed with chemicals unlike other produce.

I visited my favorite stall, Raw Life, run by my good friend Paulina Toro. Paulina's stall had lots of yummy raw cakes, i purchased a divine cake for a friend as a suprise. I love to surprise others with nutrient dense food and support local business. Paulina has also helped me with my events and promotes Natural Naughties.

I met some fantastic people including Kale who presented a raw food demo. Kale made a yummy granola packed with superfoods. Kale also has a stall with well priced super foods. I plan to visit his stall next week. Should be fun! My classes also include raw granola, similar to the one Kale made today.

I made a Raw Cashew Cheese today. As I normally make yellow cheese in my classes and this is the recipe in my e-book i made a red cheese dip. This cheese is all natural, vegan, raw and very yummy. All the people loved the dip, including young children. Made me so happy to see young children eating healthy food, as these days it is common to see young ones eat too much processed food.

Raw red cheese

A simple, quick and healthy dip. This dip is free from dairy, gluten too!

Ingredients

2 cups cashews soaked (then drained)
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup olive oil
1 small red capsicum chopped
1 clove garlic
pinch salt

Directions

Blend all ingredients in high speed blender till smooth. Serve with veggies stick or raw flax crackers. Today i served this on a slice of cucumber, topped with basil for raw tapas. Perfect party food!
