Natural Naughties Spices and herbs for health

Cashew turmeric 'cheese' from The Natural Naughties Lifestyle Book

I use a range of herbs and spices in my raw food dishes and cooking for loaded health benefits and great tasting food.

Food does not need to be boring! Herbs and spices help make every dish exciting! For example I use turmeric my cashew cheese for a yellow dip and other days I just use cumin for another colour dip! Both dips taste different and look different, however both have the same base ingredients!

Through all my cooking classes and recipe books I read I learned so much about how to use herbs and spices in food creations!

Below I have included some of my favourite herbs and spices.

Basic Nut Dip

This dip is 100 percent Natural and healthy. Most dips sold in store contain extra harmful ingredients, despite the fact they often state they are "free from preservatives" and all 'natural" . Always read the labels and if in doubt check it out! Most dips contain vegetable oil, artificials and food colours. Always make your own or find a good quality dip! The markets have some home made dips.

1 cup brazil nuts
1/4 cup olive oil
1 cup fresh basil leaves
1 glove garlic
1/2 lemon (juice)
pinch sea salt
pinch cumin

Process all ingredients in food processor, till reach a "chunky" consistency!
Do not process too long as it should be chunky!
