Natural Naughties Chia Seed Berry Jam


I soaked some chia seeds in the fridge last night with no real idea how I would use them.

A friend was telling me how she was finally able to manage her cholesterol for the first time in years since implementing chia seeds into her daily diet.

I was lucky to scroll down my friends list and see a healthy jam made by Chrissie, owner of Green Valley Strawberries.

Her strawberry jam looked amazing so I decided to experiment in the kitchen too!

Easy Healthy Jam Recipe
A easy spread that is made in minutes! Loaded with healthy vitamins and minerals. Free from unhealthy fats, sugars and preservatives too!

Ingredients
One punnet strawberries
one small packed chia seeds
1 tablespoon coconut nectar (optional)
Directions
Soak the chia seeds in enough water to cover overnight.
Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender.
Transfer to glass jar.
The sweet nectar will help to preserve this ham longer you could also add lemon juice to assist.

Variations
Use stevia to reduce sugar and calories.
Add some cinnamon.

This alternative to "jam" will keep several days in the fridge.
