Natural Naughties Almond Butter

Making Nut butter with my vitamix is easy!

Alot of the raw food recipes I teach in my Raw Food classes in Adelaide and throughout Australia call for almond butter. The raw food truffle in The Natural Naughties lifestyle e-book also are made with Almond Butter. This is new to many, to learn how to make it at home....

New Find in Adelaide
I was very excited to discover a natural shop on Goodwood Road this week,  "Waste not want not" It is a green and fairtrade shop. The shop sells a range of soups, candles, bags, toys, oil, honey and more goods.

I purchased some natural almond oil to make Almond Butter.

Almonds are a great snack. They are loaded with nutrients. Great source of fats. Great for healthy skin and hair. Boost energy. Great for brain. Can assist with weightloss.

*Before eating almonds it is a great idea to soak them for a few hours in water. This will assist in digestion and also you will receive more nutrients from the nuts. These are known as activated almonds. More people are aware of the benefits.

*I do not soak them when making almond butter, if you want too, you will need to store the almond butter in the fridge/freezer as it will not keep long.

Almond Butter

Natural almond butter
can be found at health shops/supermarkets, however most are not RAW. Most almond butters are made with roasted almonds. Raw almonds are better for you! The almond oil in this recipe will speed up the process. It takes a long time to process the nuts into a butter, I found this little trick to work a treat!

Almond butter is stores is expensive. Making your own will save you money and time. I often make my nut butters in bulk. If you do search around some places are now selling raw nut butter, about time.
