Make friends with salad!

Time to try something different!
Salads are amazing. I never get sick of healthy salads! I do like to try new things to make them EXCITING. The options are endless. So many different types of veggies, different ways to prepare them, loads of healthy ingredients to add to them! Time to make a hemp seed salad!

Hemp seeds

Time to play with hemp seeds!
These babies contain 20 amino acids, 9 of them are essential. The highest non source of non poly saturated fat. These seeds are known to assist in a healthy immune system. A vegan based, easy to digest form of protein. Great source of fibre. Include them in your diet for healthy skin, organs and hair.

The Hemp Seed Salad

This nutrient dense hemp salad, will give you lots of energy!

For the Salad

1 cucumber, use a peeler to form strips.
1 carrot, diced
1 cup kale, chopped
1 cup lettuce, shredded
1 cup corn kernals, fresh, cut corn of cob.
1/2 cup Nori (soak for 4 hours)

For the dressing

1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup apple cidear vinegar
1/4 cup almond butter
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
1/2 teaspoon raw honey
pinch sea salt

1/4 cup HEMP SEEDS

Directions

Mix all salad ingredients together in a serving dish.

To make salad dressing, whip ingredients in a high speed blender.

Pour the dressing over the salad.

Sprinkle the hemp seeds on top

Tips

Use any veggies that are in season.
